Essay: Federalists and Anti-Federalists

Sample Essay

One may surmise that the modern day Democrats and Republicans are derivations from the Federalists and Anti-Federalists but reasons but there is a notable and clearly difference between the parties of the two eras if one was to merely look at the perception that they hold towards the relevance of the constitution.

From the above elaboration on the core beliefs of the Federalists and Anti-Federalists, if I was to consider the 1780s in retrospect, I would have to be one of the Federalists since the ideology shared by the Federalists appears to be one that is not only appreciated but is also supported by national as well as international approval and is being looked upon as one that can relieve the country of many of the perceived hardships brought upon the people as a result of the Anti-Federalists governments (Roark, Johnson and Cohen). Also, there remains the fact that the Federalists believe in a centralized national government which supports democracy and the American nation was blessed with independence upon the principles of Democracy.
